Michael Scofield is in a whole lot of trouble in the new Prison Break teaser.
Fox’s nine-episode revival will see Michael (Wentworth Miller) back from the dead and back behind bars in a Yemen prison, although not for long if Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and the gang have anything to do with it.
The trailer shows Michael out of prison and with a knife at his throat, so is he about to die all over again?
Earlier this week, it was officially announced that the new series will be called Prison Break: Resurrection, with the writers also explaining why there were only nine episodes in the run.
“[The] entire cast is booked on other shows, so they had to squeeze a whole series into their breaks,” a post on the show’s Writers Room Twitter account read.
And while William Fichtner won’t be back as Alex Mahone for the new series, Paul Adelstein will be back as Paul Kellerman, alongside the likes of series regulars Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco and Robert Knepper.
Miller is even already planning more adventures for Michael and the gang in the future.
“The reboot is nine new episodes airing in spring 2017, and then depending on how it’s received, and who’s available, there could be another conversation about another bite of the apple. We’ll see,” he told us.
Prison Break returns to Fox in the US on April 4 although we don’t yet know a UK broadcaster or air date.
