Game of Thrones season 7: Did Nikolaj Coster-Waldau just reveal a MASSIVE spoiler?

GAME OF THRONES fans only have a couple of months left to wait before season seven crashes back onto screens, but that has not stopped diehards trying to get every bit of information they can from the stars of the show.

Latest to fall victim to an accidental spoiler-slip is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays JaimeLannister.

Speaking to The Daily Beast, Nikolaj was asked about the scene which saw Jaime declare his love for his sister, Cersei (Lena Headey).

The 46-year-old said: “He’s not like his sister and brother, but he’s been on the battlefield his whole life, and knows about people’s weaknesses and loving someone unconditionally because he loves his sister unconditionally.”

However, Nikolaj then revealed a little bit too much, potentially teasing a dramatic storyline for Jamie and Cersei.

Wow, I was about to reveal something from season seven and thought, ‘What am I doing?

He continues: “Plus, there are no other suitors. Well, that’s not true… But he has to step up and take his father’s place.

“Wow, I was about to reveal something from season seven and thought, ‘What am I doing?’,” Nikolaj adds.

Fans have been wondering if this outburst means that Cersei will find a new object of affection now she is queen.

Alternatively, this could mean that the Kingslayer himself might have a potential new flame on the horizon.

This comes after Kit Harington (Jon Snow) promised a “big change” for his character.

He explained: “I sort of know where he is now. Next season will be next season, he might go through a big change, I don’t know.

“He’s dear to me. I’ve lived with him for so long. I think I’ve come into a place of feeling quite emotional about him, actually, knowing that I’m not going to get to go back to him after next year.

“I’m really trying to just take stock of having lived this sort of dual life with this character, and being through so much with this character. It’s been a strange journey, but I’ll always be fond of it,” he added.

Game of Thrones returns July 17 on Sky Atlantic.
