‘Criminal Minds’ Season 12 Spoilers: Reid Realizes Who Framed Him Up

“Criminal Minds” Season 12 is down to its last two episodes before the big finale. Fans are hoping that Spencer Reid’s (Matthew Gray Gubler) prison ordeal will also be soon over. Reports say that the season will see a satisfying resolution to Reid’s case and that of Mr. Scratch. But, viewers will be again left with new surprises and cliffhangers going into the next season.

Recently, EP Erica Messer teased the return of original cast member Shemar Moore as Derek Morgan. He will help the BAU in Reid’s case and Mr. Scratch’s involvement in it. Reid’s prison story arc will continue all the way to the closing moments of “Criminal Minds” Season 12 said Messer.

In the last episode of “Criminal Minds” Season 12, Reid finally remembered who tried to frame him up for murder reports Buddy TV. Reid had tried to hide his imprisonment from his mother Diana (Jane Lynch), who has Alzheimer’s. She however still managed to go to Mexico to see him.

Mother and son had a heartbreaking reunion but upon seeing his mom, Reid finally remembered that it was a woman who tried to frame him. In the next “Criminal Minds” Season 12 episode, Reid will learn that his mother has been kidnapped by Lindsey (Gia Mantegna) according to Spoiler TV.

He will ask the BAU to investigate while he is in prison in the episode titled “Green Light.” In the promo for the said “Criminal Minds” Season 12 episode, Prentiss (Paget Brewster) is seen confirming to Reid that Diana has indeed been taken. She also tells her team, “If we lose Diana (Jane Lynch), we lose Reid forever.”

In the previous “Criminal Minds” Season 12 episode, it was revealed that Lindsey was pretending to be Carol Atkinson, Diana’s new nurse. Apparently, the two-part season finale will finally reveal Lindsey’s connection to Mr. Scratch, who everyone assumes framed up Reid.

In the promo for the upcoming “Criminal Minds” Season 12 episode, the time has come for Reid to come face to face with Mr. Scratch. On the last part of the promo however, it is a woman who is sitting and greets Reid when he enters a room.
