“Criminal Minds” Season 12 spoilers tease that the CBS drama will be closing off its season with yet another cliffhanger. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Erica Messer said that viewers should not easily breathe in a sigh of relief until the last few moments of the series because the BAU will “get another curve ball” just when they thought that they have the situation under control.
It remains to be seen whether “Criminal Minds” Season 12 finale will see the end of Mr. Scratch or if this cliffhanger will get the character involved through the next season. Shemar Moore will also be returning as Derek Morgan in the finale, but his role is only a short one, as his character will be helping the BAU find out Mr. Scratch’s whereabouts.
The arc on Matthew Gray Gubler’s Reid will also wrap up on the upcoming “Criminal Minds” Season 12 episodes entitled “Green Light” and “Red Light.” Many fans believe that Reid will finally be able to get himself free from prison and reunite with his mother, as Jane Lynch will be returning for the role in the finale, notes Carter Matt.
