WITH just a few weeks to go until The Walking Dead season eight airs, more details surrounding the anticipated instalment have been revealed.
Viewers of the hit series are currently preparing for “all-out war” between Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) when the show returns next month.
And it looks like there will be plenty of casualties on both sides as showrunner Scott. M. Gimple has promised more major characters will meet their demise.
He told Entertainment News: “There are some big deaths this season, but I think they’ll possibly catch people by surprise.”
The AMC series is certainly known for killing off huge characters in dramatic twists, but who will be next?
Actress Danai Guria, who plays Michonne, has already admitted the upcoming season will be “unpredictable” and “deeply different”.
But now Austin Amelio, who stars as Dwight, has dropped even more hints about what fans can expect.
He told the publication: “It’s a f***ing in-your-face, action-packed I.V. of adrenaline.
“Season 7 was the ramp-up and now this is the blast-off. The stuff that’s happening is insane!”
The interview with the cast members comes ahead of the show’s 100th episode – with Andrew, who plays Rick Grimes, revealing the show is going back to its old glory days.
The 44-year-old said: ”I think that last season was very painful for everybody.”
“And now you get a certain sense of a reclaiming of the old show and the swagger.”
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 22 and will follow a day later on FOX UK.
